Featured here are some of the completed art works by our Year 13 and Year 12 DP Visual Arts students. Students undertaking this course have to exhibit their final works in the DP Visual Arts Exhibition, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, 13th March.
On Saturday, 1st June, the Hanova Community gathered for our annual carnival – a special event featuring crafts, outdoor games & activities, a variety of food and beverage booths, a PYP Art Exhibition and Student Talent Show!
On Friday, 24th May, Hanova’s students, staff and parents gathered in the auditorium to celebrate the graduation of our Year 13 Diploma Programme students.
On 22-24th May, Hanova’s Year 5 students traveled south of the city to the Foping National Wildlife Reserve. During the 3 day trip, the students thoroughly enjoyed experiencing education outside the classroom through a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
On the 9th and 10th of May the Year 6 PYP students presented their PYP Exhibition. The transdisciplinary theme was “How we Express Ourselves.” At the opening ceremonies the students sung and played the beautiful and inspiring song “Making a Better World” followed by a heart-warming and thought-provoking cover version of “Imagine” by John Lennon.
In March, several of Hanova’s DP students displayed their cumulative collection of artwork in the school lobby. The Art Exhibit was open for browsing for several days and Hanova’s students, staff and parents were invited to share in our DP student’s achievements!
In March, Hanova’s primary students set out on a book reading challenge! Hanova’s staff organized the annual “Hanova Readathon” to encourage our students to learn to love reading.
On Friday, 8th March, Hanova’s students teamed up with Qingdao Amerasia International School for a joint Personal Project Exhibition.
On Friday, 1st February, our Secondary students participated in a series of House activities and competitions – including Chinese calligraphy and “Imperial Nibbles” – to celebrate the start of the Year of the Pig!
On Friday, 1st February, Hanova’s Primary School classes performed a variety of songs, dances and poems that showcased their wonderful talents and impressive Chinese language ability.
