Dr. Masetti-Placci is the Principal of Hanova. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Bologna and a Master in Information Technology from Polytechnic of Milan, with studies also in France (University of Rennes) and the USA (Washington University). Before joining Hanova, he previously has taught in secondary schools and universities in Italy, France, USA and China.
This Friday the Year 11 Personal Project Exhibition went off very well in the Auditorium. Staff, parents and students were amazed by the excellent projects that our students produced.
Our students attended the Rotaract Global MUN Special Edition 2018, which was held in New Delhi from 20th-22nd April 2018. The theme for the conference was “’Sustainable Development Goals: Fostering a Brighter Future”.

The Qingming Festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day, is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the first day of the fifth solar term of the traditional Chinese calendar. During this festival, people take the opportunity to remember and honor their ancestors at grave sites.
Thursday this week we hosted an Upper Primary football team from XHIS school, the first in 2018 after the flash tournament organized on Saturday 10th was cancelled due to poor air quality.
Our Year 11 students had a fantastic trip to the Qingdao Amerasia International School (QAIS) in Qingdao last week.
Representatives of the Government and Management Committee of the Chan-Ba District have visited our school this week, on Thursday 8th. Hanova’s new campus will be located in the new Chan-Ba Ecological and International District of Xi’an.
March is Readathon month in Primary, where we encourage students to READ, READ , READ at home as much as possible. As it is Dr Suess’s birthday on March 2nd, PYP classes will celebrate this iconic author with dress up days next week and lots of fun literacy activities in class and in the Library.
Today we will break again to celebrate the Chinese New Year and the Spring Festival, the most important holiday in China. Today we all participated in the school activities before going on holiday.
