MYP Art Assembly at Hanova!
It’s a pity that we did not have the Art Assembly this semester, so we used some pictures and videos to show students’ learning content and effort.

In November 2020, Hanova’s Primary house competitions heated up with a “Tug-of-war” activity. All four of Hanova’s houses – Tang, Song, Qin and Han – participated against each other in an exciting and energetic battle for first place.
Year 2 students experienced a great ‘provocation’ for their new unit on Earth’s cycles.
Over the course of five weekends in October and November, Hanova’s Primary students played football in a local city Football league. After announcing the opportunity, we received such a supportive and wonderful response from our parents and students that Hanova was able to submit three full teams into the league!
The Y13 students have completed their Theory of Knowledge presentations, which is the internal assessment components for TOK. All of them presented professionally, and the quality of most presentations are outstanding! Congratulations to our Year 13 students for stepping closer to their completion of the IB Diploma Programme!
On Friday, 18th September, our PYP staff organised ‘Reading Buddies’ – a programme in which younger and older students are paired up for reading together throughout the school year. Reading Buddies helps build a community where students can read together and respect one another, regardless of age differences.
One of the fundamental tenets of the IB Diploma CAS programme is ‘think global; act local’. We are really happy that we will donate the second rural library through a worthwhile beneficiary – ChunShan Educational Foundation (http://www.chunshan.org) with the funds that the Hanova community has so generously raised in 2019.
After the challenging start to 2020, the Hanova community was excited to finish last school year and summer school back on the school campus. We are grateful that we were able to begin the new 2020-21 school year on campus as well – and it is very obvious on the smiling faces of our students! It is nice to be “back in the classroom!”
On Saturday, 9th May, Hanova’s Board, Leadership and Secondary staff hosted Hanova’s annual graduation ceremony for our Year 13 Diploma Programme students. The ceremony was held in a local Xi’an hotel with the students and their families.
On 23rd April 2020, Hanova’s Year 11 students hosted a virtual exhibition to present their finished Personal Projects. The students’ projects marked a major milestone in their academic career as they prepare to enter Hanova’s IB DP Programme in Fall 2020.
