On Saturday, 1st June, the Hanova Community gathered for our annual carnival – a special event featuring crafts, outdoor games & activities, a variety of food and beverage booths, a PYP Art Exhibition and Student Talent Show!
On Friday, 24th May, Hanova’s students, staff and parents gathered in the auditorium to celebrate the graduation of our Year 13 Diploma Programme students.
On 22-24th May, Hanova’s Year 5 students traveled south of the city to the Foping National Wildlife Reserve. During the 3 day trip, the students thoroughly enjoyed experiencing education outside the classroom through a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
Over the next few months, we will be sharing our progress on the new Chanba Campus here on the school website and via WeChat. Working day and night, the construction crews seem on track of the schedule to have the whole buildings built by March 2020.
The Year 6 teachers and students would like to thank all, parents, mentors and our wider Hanova community for everyone’s support during this exciting and rewarding learning journey.
On the 9th and 10th of May the Year 6 PYP students presented their PYP Exhibition. The transdisciplinary theme was “How we Express Ourselves.” At the opening ceremonies the students sung and played the beautiful and inspiring song “Making a Better World” followed by a heart-warming and thought-provoking cover version of “Imagine” by John Lennon.
Thanks to everyone for their great efforts on our Primary School Sports Day on Thursday, 18th April.
The kids were fantastic – it was a very easy day for me and a lot of fun.
Just kindly remind you, our Sports Days are taking place this week. On Thursday, 18th April, our PYP students will have their Sports Day from 9.30am to 12.30am. In the afternoon, there may be some other fun and games.
As part of the CAS requirement for DP students, some of our Year 12 and 13 students have completed volunteer service for the Yellow River Soup Kitchen; an organization which serves people who are homeless or in need of assistance in Xi’an and surrounding areas.
In March, several of Hanova’s DP students displayed their cumulative collection of artwork in the school lobby. The Art Exhibit was open for browsing for several days and Hanova’s students, staff and parents were invited to share in our DP student’s achievements!
