On Wednesday, 31st October, the Hanova’s staff, students and parents celebrated Halloween with a costume parade, special decorations, candy & treats, crafts and games! Our primary students paraded through the classrooms in the morning showing off their costumes and being rewarded with treats. The secondary students finished the day with a special assembly to give “best costume” awards and play games together.
On Saturday, 27th October, Hanova’s secondary basketball team participated in an international school tournament in Xi’an. We are proud of our team for their hard work, great play and good sportsmanship!
On Friday, 26th October, our staff, students and parents participated in Hanova’s annual International Day to celebrate our school’s cultural diversity! The celebration began with a flag parade. Groups of teachers and students proudly carried their nation’s flags around the football field. The day continued with crafts, activities and games from various cultures and a wonderful international lunch!
On Thursday, 30th August 2018, Hanova’s Board, Leadership team, staff and guests from the community participated in the Ground-breaking Ceremony for Hanova’s new campus!
On Friday, 24th August, our Primary students participated in “Reading Buddies” – an activity designed to foster a love for reading while connecting younger and older students. Upper primary students read with early years students in various locations around the school. It was a great time for all of the students to get to know each other and read books!
On Saturday, 2nd June, the Hanova community participated in our annual Spring Carnival! Teachers, staff, students, parents and visitors enjoyed a variety of games, crafts and activities in the morning followed by a wonderful catered lunch. In the afternoon, we sat down to enjoy the Hanova Talent Show. We are proud of our students of all ages who performed in front of a large audience!
On Friday, 25th May, Hanova hosted a graduation ceremony for our six graduates this year! All of our Secondary students along with parents, teachers, staff and school Board members were in attendance as we all celebrated this important milestone. We are proud of the great achievement of the class of 2018!
On 14-18th May, Hanova’s secondary students traveled to Chengdu, China. During the five day trip, they had the opportunity to experience Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) at a Panda Reserve outside the city. Our students spent two days volunteering at the Reserve – cleaning the Panda pens, feeding and caring for the pandas and learning how to prepare healthy panda treats. The trip also included great Chinese food, an evening visit to the Chengdu opera, a day of mountain hiking and plenty of lifelong memories with friends!
On Friday, 27th April, our Year 11 students presented their Personal Projects to the other MYP students and teachers. We are proud of the amazing and diverse things that they have created. Their projects reflect the tenacity and dedication of the ethos of their class and they deserve our congratulations on their achievements!
On Friday April 20th, our Inter-house Sports Day was a great success. In the end the weather was kind to us and all the children had fun.
